blender-nxt hangs on startup

Describe the bug
The NXT Editor window opens but is black and cannot be used. Eventually prompted to wait or force quit—no further details in the terminal.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: Rocky 8
• DCC Blender 3.3 LTE (also tested 3.1)
• Version Editor, 3.13.0, Graph 1.17, API 0.15.0

Blender - 3.4.1
Rocky - Linux 8.5
NXT Editor - 3.13.0
API - 0.15.0
Blender addon

I can't get anything in consoles, so bit hard to debug of what happening
