Darwin m2: "iOS builds are not supported on this platform."

I am unexpectedly unable to compile an iOS build using apple silicon. Digging into the source:

It looks like arch64 iOS builds are only supported on intel macs via cross compilation?

Do you have rosetta enabled? I think I did this a few months back.

As for doing actual cross, on recent nixpkgs there was a darwin sdk rewrite that seems to have unlocked that: https://discourse.nixos.org/t/the-darwin-sdks-have-been-updated/55295

So on the long run this might be doable directly
