In the Stats window, it might be useful to have charts of various data points.

Stats Dock Mockup

  • Needs mockup/redesign to more appropriately handle data
  • General or Overview tab with summary info, similar to current stats dock view
  • Tabs or other system for viewing more detailed information for individual outputs (Ex. graphs)
  • Future-proofing for multi-output

I like cg2121 idea of a system monitor.
Due to the number of graphs it could be either a separate window or a full height dock.
I agree with Rodney's comment that tabs within tabs feel awkward. Unless the stats dock is docked on its own as a full size one ?

Warchamp stressed that one should future proof what's done so that other outputs can be added to graphs.
Also he suggested tabs were one option among others.
So it's in flux.
I hope i have not strayed too much from what @Warchamp7 said. Feel free to add your thoughts in here.

There are a few details missing from this mockups, see TODOs. But
it gets us a decent picture of what's possible or not. We can
improve from there.

This proposes a new "pinned stats" mechanism, which is what is
used to control what would be visible in the stats dock. The most
common stats are pinned by default.

The other innovation of this mockup is the redesign of the stats
window. The sidebar now reports the state of the page through icons,
so people can spot at a glance what needs their attention.

The audience of this redesigned stats dock and window are studios
and professional workflows, where constant monitoring of the stream
quality is required, and actions must be taken quickly.
