My computer suffered a hard disk failure in a RAID 1 array (Intel RST, so technically "fake") which resulted in all of the VMs on that disk being Paused due to an I/O timeout.
I was able to resume the interactive one, but the one started by VBoxVMService is now stuck - the -st command says it's Paused, but both -su and -sd fail to do anything.
D:\VboxVmService>VmServiceControl.exe -st 0
VM0: QMTServ is paused.
D:\VboxVmService>VmServiceControl.exe -sd 0
Failed to shut down virtual machine.
VM QMTServ is not running.
D:\VboxVmService>VmServiceControl.exe -su 0
Failed to start up virtual machine.
Could not open remote session! The machine 'QMTServ' is already locked by a session (or being locked or unlocked)
D:\VboxVmService>VmServiceControl.exe -st 0
VM0: QMTServ is paused.
Running VBoxVmService v6.1 (Kiwi) with VirtualBox 6.1.4 on Windows 8.1 x64.
