History

• Before we took this over the package was built and tested against ... 3.5, I think.
• Most recent work from me was done for version level 3.8 compatibility, I inserted some typing.
• Something broke for 3.7+, I shifted minimum version to 3.8 and update requirements where possible without further tweaking.

Your changes on the pytoml branch says >=3.11
The plan is to make mano the "forest runtime" - so yeah lets pin at least 3.11.

Is 3.11 still supported by forest, or is the forest ~rc2 expecting 3.12?

I've merged 3.12 support into Forest default branch (onnela-lab/forest@d4333b8), so this will go in the initial 1.0 PyPI release.
