Better front-end foundations

The front-end is in a working condition, but relies on outdated dependencies and probably some bad-practices. It is open for discussion to heavily refactor the front-end, but keeping the following in mind:

• Stick with React: although there are other alternatives as well, the biggest community is behind React. This allows us to ensure the long term maintenance and sustainability of the project.
• This is not the Wild West: even though the project is flexible and maintainers are open-minded, some guidance and planning is necessary. Before suggesting any new directions, make sure to think it through beforehand.

Personally, I would go with the current implementation but with some face-lifting. Any suggestions or recommendations are highly welcomed. Especially if some PRs are supporting them. NextUI could be a good fit.

The new front-end is implemented in #244. It is now uses:

• TanStack Start
• TanStack Router
• TanStack Query
• Shadcn UI
• Tailwind 4

and the latest, greatest dependencies.
