Introduction

Hi there! I'm currently going into my senior year studying CS at UT Dallas, but back in the Austin area for the summer. I've loved tech all my life and been programming on and off since I was a kid, but one particularly pivotal moment in my journey was joining the Hack Club community in 2020, where I had a ton of fun learning and building things with new friends, and learned a lot about working on software projects along the way, especially when it comes to building for the web (which is where most of my experience lies now).

I'm hoping to find community like that here in Austin! One of my goals with getting involved with Open Austin is just to get more connected to the Austin tech community and meet more people in the area as I try to figure out whether to stay in Dallas or move back to Austin post grad.

What I know

Spent the most time in the last year working in TypeScript, Python, and Swift

Worked on applications/sites in Astro, Next.js (React), Vue, Django, Flask, and FastAPI

I've also done limited amounts of web design in Figma and would be happy to learn more/contribute to UI/UX type work where possible.

What I want to know

Down to work in any sort of development role, preferably one where I get to be exposed to both frontend and backend work, whether that means both at the same time or switching between the 2. Some areas I don't know much about but would like to learn more about are data analysis and machine learning
