@laurit from what I see the licence update had to be done manually, is it something that would be doable/relevant through a post-upgrade hook in renovate to prevent having to do that manually on every release ?

Renovate provides postupgradetasks but unfortunately it's only available when it is self-hosted. Maybe here the best option would be to automate with a bot that pushes changes directly to the renovate branch but this is not ideal and probably tedious to maintain, or alternatively ensure that the licence update is executed during the release process or scheduled at regular interval on main branch.
