Expected behavior
As a course author, when adding a video component in Studio:
- The language dropdown for adding a transcript should allow smooth scrolling within the dropdown itself, regardless of page length.
- If a language is selected but no transcript is uploaded, the interface should allow the author to retry the upload or change the selection.
Actual behavior
- The transcript language dropdown does not scroll independently. Instead, the entire page scrolls, making it difficult to navigate through the list of languages.
- If the author selects a language but cancels the upload (or forgets to upload the transcript), the interface becomes unresponsive to further upload attempts. The only workaround is to exit the video component editor and then re-enter it.
Steps to reproduce
- In Studio, add a new unit and insert a video component.
- Go to the “Transcripts” section and click the language dropdown to select a language.
- Observe that scrolling through the dropdown is difficult, as it scrolls the whole page instead of the dropdown.
- Select a language but do not upload a transcript.
- Attempt to repeat the process (e.g., select the same language and upload a file).
- Observe that the interface does not allow a second upload attempt. The only way to resolve this is to exit the video editor and enter again.
