Does the GeoParquet community want to have its say on the CRSJSON developments?

Hi,
I'm very frustrated with the developments of the CRSJSON work item of the CRS working group, where it is unclear if they want to create something backwards compatible with PROJJSON or something looking similar to PROJJSON but incompatible in practice. I don't know if the GeoParquet community has any sentimental or practical bonding with PROJJSON, but if they do, it might be worth weighing into the discussion .
