Configuration for vtm tiles

I'm asking it here because in https://github.com/opensciencemap/TileStache issues are disabled. Is there a working configuration for tile server that currently serves tiles from opensciencemap.org/tiles ? The above mentioned repository contains only an example but not a real working solution.
