Skip lock/unlock notifications when expected

We have a daily sync script that is lock, update, then unlock the components.
The lock and unlock are expected, but they trigger notifications to users.
Should not we have a way to remove the notifications when those lock/unlock operations are expected?

Presently, there is no way to skip these notifications.
