@nijel I have this setting on. In my repository weblate created the folder ar-AA. |

I think weblate is not storing Arabic correctly using the ar-AA tag. The only tags in the BCP47 list are
ar-AE, ar-BH, ar-DZ, ar-EG, ar-IQ, ar-JO, ar-KW, ar-LB, ar-LY, ar-MA, ar-OM, ar-QA, ar-SA, ar-SD, ar-SY, ar-TN, ar-YE
