We can get hold of a large lot of second hand electronic shelf labels. Basically a 2.9" epaper display on batteries with an 802.15.4 radio built in. The ESP32-C6 can communicate with 802.15.4 radios.

Having these displays allows users to display their name and/or personalized images in a badge like way without relying on the badge itself to be around their neck on a lanyard.
