Troubleshooting CiteDrive Companion Extension in Brave Browser

Users of the Brave browser are reporting an issue with the CiteDrive companion extension, which is not working and says the user must 'log in' to their account even though they are already logged in. They've tried specifically following the button, logging out and then back in, and even restarting everything, but the problem persists. They are looking for advice on how to resolve this problem.

For the time being, the workaround is:

1. Log in to your CiteDrive account on the Brave browser.
2. Right-click and select 'Inspect'
3. Select 'Application'
4. Copy the entry 'authToken'
5. Open the CiteDrive extension on any page and repeat steps 2-4, but this time paste the 'authToken' entry.
6. Keep in mind that the token is only valid for about 8 hours, so you will need to repeat this process every 8 hours (or every day).

Note: There is an issue with the CiteDrive companion extension when using the Brave browser (Chrome-based). The company is aware of this issue and recommends using Chrome, Edge, or Firefox for an uninterrupted experience. They are working on a solution and will contact Brave to see if there is a better solution. The workaround is to manually copy the BibTex references into the CiteDrive website.
