how to set the column names default display order in table properties

Why, when I open a new display of table properties, the column names in the table are not displayed in the order they were created but rather in the order of their physical names? I would like the display order to be the same as the order of the columns as defined in my table definition.

You can click the column header to change the order of entries:

Unfortunately i don't see the order being preserved after closing current object editor.

I want it order by id in view on load.
