I have an old Etherpad Lite instance I need to migrate and upgrade and it appears that the instance doesn't use a external database, I have these database files:
ls -lah var/*.db -rw-r--r-- 1 etherpad etherpad 1.1K Apr 7 2022 var/dirty.db -rw-r--r-- 1 etherpad etherpad 58G Jun 16 13:34 var/old.db
It is the tiny
dirty.db
one that is referenced bysettings.json
:I see that there is a migrateDirtyDBtoRealDB.ts script, I'm hoping to use this to import the
var/old.db
file into a MariaDB database using the latest version of the code base, I'm also wondering if I should used the old code basemigrateDirtyDBtoRealDB.js
script rather than the newmigrateDirtyDBtoRealDB.ts
one as I've not been able to work out how to run it, the file contains:I have added the MariaDB details to
settings.json
in the new code base and also copied the two.db
files and this is what I have tried:I have also tried copying this file to
bin/migrateDirtyDBtoRealDB.js
but that doesn't seem to help:Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks!
