Hi,
I've read issue #3391, although it seems to be fixed I'm unable to search by external id via GUI.

I'm using/developing a custom importer and setting external id (as described here https://docs.firefly-iii.org/references/data-importer/roles/#external-id-internal-reference) via APIs and I would like to get transactions also by this external id to avoid duplicates on subsequent runs.

Currently in the API doc there is only /v1/search/transactions a query search that also can't find transactions by external id.

I'm not sure what you're running into, but external_id:"abc" works fine for me.
