Had to run db migrations manually

I set up the docker compose setup as suggested in the documentation (on my synology NAS). but i was getting:

production.ERROR: Could not poll the database: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'firefly.configuration' doesn't exist (Connection: mysql, SQL: select id, name, data from configuration where name = is_demo_site and configuration.deleted_at is null limit 1) {"exception":"[object] (FireflyIII\Exceptions\FireflyException(code: 0): Could not poll the database: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'firefly.configuration' doesn't exist (Connection: mysql, SQL: select id, name, data from configuration where name = is_demo_site and configuration.deleted_at is null limit 1) at /var/www/html/app/Support/FireflyConfig.php:93)

ended up jumping into the container and running this myself:

php artisan migrate

which solved the issue.

why was this? was I expected to do the initial setup manually?

No clue, and no. It runs automatically. Without any logs from the previous run, it's basically impossible to tell I'm afraid.
