v44-69 - Adwaita Preferences

Hi everyone!

This release introduced a new Adwaita based preferences. Thanks to @bennypowers for implementing quickly and it looks great!

As with every release, nothing is perfect and the only way is forward. We already received reports of issues on GNOME 43. Please report any additional issues and appreciate all the support:

Using the GJS Guide which should work on GNOME 43+: https://gjs.guide/extensions/topics/quick-settings.html.

For now, I have disabled this version in extensions.gnome.org and have users use/rollback to v68. I am also not sure how the rollback will look like but I suppose Extensions Manager or Extensions app will ask you to upgrade or downgrade.

Hi, just to confirm - this means that Forge is no longer compatible with Gnome 42.9, correct?

Since Ubuntu 22.04 doesn't support Gnome 43, what options do us 22.04 users have now?

Hi @eirinnm, I am keeping 2 latest versions of Forge for each GNOME version. But to keep up with latest features, users need to update to latest GNOME as soon as they can.

I'm glad I messaged here. I'd been poking around for about half an hour and was about to give up on Forge thinking it simply wasn't compatible. Thanks again for your fast response.
