SDL update?

Hi

Is there a reason MAME still uses SDL 2 instead of SDL 3, which is stable now?

SDL 3 was actually pretty rough for a while and is just now getting to be what I'd consider stable in 3.2.18. Not crashing when you try and get audio device info is kind of important to MAME now, for instance :-) But the event loop changes in SDL 3 are very, very interesting for macOS so I'll be creating a branch for SDL 3 support soon(tm).
