Finite cell method

Is it possible to adapt MFEM to implement Finite Cell Method (FCM)? If yes, is there any sample implementation?

I suspect it is possible to implement it in MFEM, however, I'm not sure how much effort that will require.
Also, we do not have an example using FCM and I don't think there is one in a branch in the repo.
