[Q&A] MA & Docker & Reverse Proxy

Hi All,

First, thank's for the great job regarding the open source project. =)

I would like to install MA based on your docke-compose file.

However, a quick question: I used personnalized docker network and a reverse proxy. Everything on my private network only.

Are they specific elements I should know before adapting your docker-compose file to match my setup?

Sorry but we can't help with these sorts of questions. Since you found the docker compose file you have probably read this but just in case

The MA team will support docker installs that are installed per the above instructions. For clarity, to receive support from the MA team:

The docker install must be a simple standalone container (e.g. not using kubernetes)
MA, HA and all players must be on the same flat network with no VLANs
Music Assistant needs direct (layer 2) access to the network to properly discover and stream to players. So either host networking or macvlan networking is a mandatory requirement for the docker container
Everything else is considered unsupported.

You can try in the General channel of our Discord server but 98.5% of our users run one of our two supported installation methods.
