You should be using a HA automation for this |

@OzGav I dont think you understand what I'm trying to accomplish. Your replies in no way accomplish it. The gap is that I do not see any way to know when MA has "Selected a Player". If this is not exposed as an Entity Value or sent to Home Assistant as an Event, then there is no way to trigger an Automation. This is a feature request because is does not exists from what I can tell. |

Ask: Power On an entity when the Player is selected.
Example: most people do not keep their AVR or amps turned on 24x7. Mine is hidden in a cabinet and guests do no know where it is, and I don't want them to, nor do I want to mess with it, ever.
So it would be immensely helpful when the Ceiling Speakers (which are connected to a Yamaha MusicCast AVR) is selected, the AVR powers on, which is already exposed as an HA entity...

MA is so extensive I'm surprised this is not already in the options, apologies if I missed it. The Spotify Plus integration does this but MA is the best IMO so switched to using it.
