What's Changed

• 🔥 A new Topology view shows the traffic between Pods, Nodes and Services in the cluster. It comes with the same powerful filters than the Netflow table and new stats charts on graph nodes.
• 🔥 As a preview, we're introducing a new eBPF Agent. It collects and aggregates the ingress and egress flows on a Linux host (requires kernel 4.18+ with eBPF enabled), as an alternative to the IPFIX export. It can be used regardless which CNI is installed. It should be considered experimental: work continues on this agent, more tests will be done, and changes may result before it is generally available.
• 🔥 Sunsetting our goflow2-kube-enricher component. FlowLogs-Pipeline, a similar component with many new features created by our colleagues at IBM Research, replaces it. We integrated some missing features that we had in goflow2-kube-enricher (e.g. writing to Loki). In addition, FlowLogs-Pipeline can generate metrics out of the collected flow logs, aggregate and transform them, before exposing them for Prometheus. This is done via a configurable pipeline. In the context of the NetObserv Operator, this configuration is hidden to the user.
• DaemonSet mode is now the default for collector workload (1-to-1 mapping with OpenVSwitch)
• In the Console plugin, ability to filter a value on both source and destination (e.g. Source Name OR Destination Name is "foo")
• In the Console plugin, a new filter for Kubernetes resources, with auto-completion.
• In the Console plugin, added column grouping to display information on sources and destinations more concisely. This also reduces the amount of empty cells and improves readability on smaller screens.
• In the Console plugin, a statistics summary appears on query results.
• Performance improvement of the Netflow table display.
• IPFIX default sampling set to 400 (was 100 previously)
