Feature request: make pnpm patch more strict

Please update PNPM’s patch command to fail under the following conditions:

1. If applying the patch is not possible (e.g., the version of the patched package has changed and the patch is no longer effective). In such case, personally, I would like to be notified explicitly that, the patch no longer works. Otherwise, my security or bug patch can end up being on production
2. If there are unused patches in the patches/ directory. This can occur when a patch is removed from package.json but not deleted from the patches/ directory. I would like to be notified in this case as well.
