Future for valkey now Redis is OSS again? #2037

Valkey isn't going anywhere. We've now had the chance to discuss it among the various stakeholders and community members, and everyone is still interested in continuing to maintain the project.

We might be amendable to the license, but Redis did not return to the project it was before the license change. Redis no longer has a community driven governance, which puts our contributions at risk of being rejected. Redis has opt'd to keep it's CLA, so they could relicense our changes at any time.

I still believe in the mission of the Valkey project, which is to create a vendor neutral location to continue to innovate in the key-value database space.
