High CPU Usage on MacOS

Describe the bug

The MacOS Desktop client uses a lot of CPU when after the first full sync to the server. Until then the cpu usage is very low.

To me, it seems like the client restarts the change check process every x minutes/seconds.

I have added a snippet of the logs. The client creates a ton of logs so I can't find anything useful. If there is a need for more logs I would like to share the logs privately because of (somewhat) sensitive information.

Expected behavior

The CPU usage should be fairly low

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Complete full sync
2. Let client check for changes

FYI: suffix vfs is being deprecated with upcoming version 6 and will be dropped wit 7

How many spaces do you have and how many are synced to the mac?

Yes. I uploaded all of the files in the space during the initial sync.

I am experimenting quite a bit with my setup (caching etc.) and will report back in ~2 days if I could fix the issue

I added a NATS cache server and it's made things way better! Remote change checks now take seconds instead of hours, which has cut down energy usage a ton.

The CPU usage is still pretty high during checks though. 12-hour energy usage is down to ~400 from ~5000, but that's still not great.

For reference:

• Safari usually sits at 100-200
• The ownCloud client uses less than 40 during initial sync

I tried setting remotePollInterval in the desktop client config as a temporary fix, but it doesn't seem to work. The client keeps using the 60s poll interval from the server.

So, the NATS cache helps a lot but there's still something going on with the CPU usage during change detection. Any logs I can provide you with?
