Hi All Firstly on each PC Then on each PC in turn open Tigervnc and connect to the IP:port of another PC. So now each PC has 3 monitors (it's own on a hdmi splitter) and the remote two on 2 monitors. If you use the same resolution on each monitor, then all screens maximize nicely. Hope someone finds this useful. Regards |

Hi All
I volunteer at a Museum in which I am using Deskreen for security cameras.
There are 3 x 16 port DVR's in 3 locations on which I use the HDMI out, into a HDMI Splitter with one leg to a monitor and the other to a USB Video capture device. So each DVR is visible on the local monitor and the three DVR's are about 150 meters apart.
At each location I have a Windows 10 PC with two Monitors attached to two HDMI ports. Together with the direct connect monitor means I have 3 monitors at each location.
I also have Deskreen, Chrome browser and VLC on each PC.
By "casting" the USB capture, the DVR's are visible using Chrome at all the other locations.
Once that is set up, I open two Chrome windows on each PC and use the two attached monitors to display two other DVR's.
So, now I have 3 monitors in each location showing all 3 DVR's.
That works well.
The only downside is that whenever there is a power failure or the Wifi has a hick-up, I have to reset all the IP addresses.
I have worn out a pair of shoes going back/forth with a notepad writing down the IP's, then keying it in Chrome, then going back and confirming at the source end.
I would dearly love to have FIXED IP addresses, so that when the PC's reboot, I can set up the connection at each point with one visit only.
Alternatively allow the re-connection on the same IP if it gets disconnected and then connected again.
Regards
PS: I have a pdf diagram if someone is interested.
