Error on execution on windows 2022

Hi,

I get that:

Invoke-CimMethod : The system cannot find the file specified.

I've seen this happen on 2022 Servers, after the Grace Period has Expired. I would try replacing Lines 68 & 69 to the following.

$GracePeriod = (Invoke-CimMethod -InputObject (Get-CimInstance -Namespace root/CIMV2/TerminalServices -ClassName Win32_TerminalServiceSetting) -MethodName GetGracePeriodDays -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue).DaysLeft

If ($GracePeriod -eq $Null) {
     Write-Host -ForegroundColor Green 'Terminal Server (RDS) grace period days remaining are': 0
} Else {
     Write-Host -ForegroundColor Green 'Terminal Server (RDS) grace period days remaining are': $GracePeriod
}

However, I should warn you that the Registry Key for the Grace Period has been completely Locked Down in Windows Server 2022 and Newer. As a result, this Script may NOT work at all on Windows Server 2022 and Windows Server 2025. The only way to Reset the Grace Period in Windows Server 2022 and Up, is via the Local SYSTEM Account.

One Option is to use the PSEXEC Tool to Launch PowerShell as the Local SYSTEM Account, then Run the necessary Commands, as described in the following Article.

Alternatively, if you're looking for pure PowerShell Option to accomplish this task, I wrote a Custom PowerShell Script that utilizes the "Invoke-CommandAs" Module to Run the necessary Commands as the Local System Account.
