Hello pdulvp,
I’m running Jellyfin on a QNAP TS-664 NAS with 16 GB of RAM and the latest version of QTS as of March 15, 2025. I installed the .qpkg package from your site, https://pdulvp.fr/jellyfin-qnap.html. I’ve also configured an 8 TB SSD as a cache in read-write mode using QTS’s “Storage & Snapshots” manager to improve performance, particularly for transcoding and metadata access.
I haven’t made any specific modifications yet to optimize Jellyfin for this SSD cache, and I’d like to know the best way to proceed with your package. My goal is to ensure Jellyfin fully utilizes the 8 TB SSD cache effectively. Could you please advise:
What steps should I take to configure Jellyfin to leverage the SSD cache in read-write mode with your .qpkg installation?
Is there a recommended method or specific setting in Jellyfin to take advantage of an SSD cache managed by the latest QTS, especially with this hardware (TS-664, 16 GB RAM)?
Are there any permissions, folder adjustments, or additional configurations required to ensure transcoding and caching use the SSD?
Thank you in advance for your guidance! Please let me know if you need more details about my setup.
Best regards,
Alexandre
