I don't know whether the adapter will continue to be supported.
The js-controller will be further developed and some methods will disappear, for example createState, createDevice and createChannel.
In the file brokerInterface.js are some of these methods that would have to be rewritten if your adapter can still be used in the future.

Okay, thanks for the information. It would only be important for people who are installing new devices or using the adapter for the first time. Maybe leave a note in the README that the js.controller under version 7.1 is to be used for this. If all devices are available, you can upgrade the js.controller.

The README says all of this: - setObjectNotExists = function setObjectNotExists(id, object, callback) I have found some information in translated English here: https://iobroker.readthedocs.io/de/latest/bestpractice/adapterdev.html Is there official documentation that covers English, or are we supposed to just hack in? ioBroker.js-controller does not provide a useful description.
I have already found the German description. However, I have no idea how to create adapters. I can only create scripts for using the adapters in ioBroker.
So I'm not much help to you.
