Probably, might even be possible with just a spring as the only non-printed part. But I am not actively working on this project. So if you want it, go ahead and design it :) |
how would I go about editing your model to make it. And what software would I use. I have my own trombone that I can take measurements on. |
This has all been designed using openSCAD, which can be found at https://openscad.org/ . These openSCAD files are really a trombone generator, rather than a single design of a trombone. It can be used to generate printable trombones by specifying measurements such as bore size, length, mouthpiece shank type and bell profile. I wrote documentation on how to design your own trombone at https://github.com/pieterbos/PrintBone/wiki#how-to-create-your-own-trombone-bell-designs , including which program you need. Please note that these instructions are there to get you up and running, and change the basic trombone shape. For more involved changes to the design, you will need programming skills. |
Ok thank you also sorry for bothering you about the broken file thing (I am still learning how to trouble shoot problems) but I did fix my printing issue. I am excited to start designing this trombone as I do have experience designing models (but only in tinker cad lol). |
I wonder if it would be possible to make a working 3d printed trombone with a F attachment. (obviously it would not be entirely 3d printed becaus you need to have some stuff to make the thing move and work)
