FR: custom regex exclude YAML

I need to delete all “---” in the body content, but will destroy YAML as well, how to solve it?

Hey @jiangaq. That is not easy to say. It may not be possible with custom regex. Could you elaborate on where --- is in your files and what is true about them outside of the YAML indicators?

I ask because if the only thing that is garuanteed is that the value is ---, then custom regex will be of no use and you may as well use a find and replace tool and go through it manually rather than try to use the Linter.

Is it in the middle of a sentence? If so, it may be feasible to fix. But if it is always on a line by itself then the Linter may not be able to help. Do you have some sample file content that includes --- in it?

Yeah. That kind of text will not allow for a regex replace that will not affect the YAML without a lot of trial and error. So the Linter is probably not able to help with this. You will likely need to use a custom program for that.

I see. If you can have an option to choose YAML included or excluded in custom regex section, that will be better.
