"Plone Site" should not be included in default content types excluded from search results

In demo.plone.org I edited the front page to include some text containing unique words that did not appear anywhere else on the site. I saved the page. I clicked on Search and searched for one of those unique words. No items were returned in the search results, but the front page of the site should have been.

In the Search control panel, "Plone Site" is included in the content types which should be excluded from search results.

This should not be! It is totally unintuitive that search results should not include the front page of a site.
