Is there a way to make Trail always flow out even when the object is in static?

I'm working on an airplane model and theatre.js to animate where the plane will move as I scroll down the page. I want to add a Trail effect to my object to simulate wind but the problem is that when I stop scrolling, of course the trail will stop flowing too. Is there a way to achieve Trail always flow even when the object is not moving?
