ASF would like to investigate using bignbit in our cumulus workflows for NISAR mission and even the OPERA mission. We have a couple requests and questions that I wanted to document here and if these are better suited else where please let me know!
Questions:
How is this configured? What is an example BIG config?
Is this deployed via an existing Terraform module?
What is the MGRs Grid and is this specific to a single dataset? We are working on SAR products with OPERA and we are not aware of this grid? Is this just a way to break the images up for GITC?
What is the harmony API used for?
Do you start this workflow by a CNM-S or a CMA Granule object?
Requests:
A workflow diagram that describes all the steps
It would also be useful to see the an example workflow.json if you are deploying this via terraform and cumulus module.

That GDAL lambda layer is awesome. We were actually building a full lambda container image with GDAL installed in order to get it working but the lambda layer seems like a better approach. I'll be working on this repo a bit over the next couple weeks so I should be able to address your questions soon.
First thank you for sharing this tool!
