Why does the application connect to google services?

Hi, I just monitored the connections made by the application at start and i noticed that it connects to :

• www.google.com
• optimizationguide-pa.googleapis.com

Is there a particular reason for this?
Wouldn't it be better for users privacy to avoid telling google you are using popcorn time?

I'm no techie! .. but I don't think it's a specific call from Popcorntime? Looks like it might be related to a Chrome/Chromium bug. NWjs runtime obviously uses a version of Chromium.

If you Google it (optimizationguide-pa.googleapis.com) .. the issue has been reported (elsewhere) since 2022. Whatever it is - I'd say it was Google/Chromium related:
