MHWilds crashes on initialization #1497

Describe the bug
Nightly 1208
Game crashes upon opening, D3D Fatal Error, DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED.
Sometimes I can get through one or two times but once I close the game, it just crashes again on next boot up.
Tried deleting all mods then run REF alone, removing mod manager, deleting all REF files and reinstalling REF then ran REF alone, removing all .pak files and re-verifying through Steam, re-seat GPU, downgrade and upgrade graphics driver, deleting shader caches in game directory and in Nvidia. All attempts were unsuccessful.
After removing dinput8.dll, game runs just fine.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install REF
  2. Open up MHWilds
  3. Crashes

Expected behavior
REF completes initialization and game boots up.

Can't really, couldn't even read the error message quick enough sometimes but it shows the same D3D Fatal Error.

  • AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • 32GB RAM
