Description
hi all,
i know this might sound odd - and i am not pretty sure if this is the right place to fill (could probably be more a ha issue)
i am running HA at the following version:
Installation method Home Assistant OS
Core 2025.6.0
Supervisor 2025.05.5
Operating System 15.2
Frontend 20250531.2
Gardena Smart System is at 1.3.0-beta4
- and i changed from switches to valves.
I have an automation which should start watering the yard - when ever this automation is triggerd i see the follwoing issue in the traces:
Valve 'Open' on Water Control
Executed: June 20, 2025 at 6:00:00 AM
Error: ReadTimeout
Result:
params:
domain: valve
service: open_valve
service_data: {}
target:
entity_id:
- valve.water_control
running_script: false

when starting the automation by run actions
all is fine:
Valve 'Open' on Water Control
Executed: June 20, 2025 at 6:35:43 AM
Result:
params:
domain: valve
service: open_valve
service_data: {}
target:
entity_id:
- valve.water_control
running_script: false

the system logs show following errors when running the automation by trigger:

one could say the is a temporary issue - but it is not - i observed this a couple of times ... every time it runs by trigger it has read timeout...
thanks for any feedback 😄
