minio and s3select

Does cells use the new s3Select functionality of minio in order to allow SQL to be used against minio s3 buckets ?
My understanding if that minio s3Select only allows to query one JSON file inside minio as a time ?

The use case relates to how users are able to extend the system and use the SQL functionality to build apps on top of the system itself. Cells seems really useful as a file sharing & collaboration system, but i think it is a good system for users to easily build simple apps on top also.

We have not really digged this subject yet, but that's definitely interesting. I'm not sure the version of minio we package (via vendoring, yes I know we should switch to module but believe, that's a lot of worl) is supporting this feature.
