Medusa sometimes loads very slowly and/or times out

Describe the bug
I have a Medusa library with 684 shows. When I open the homepage of Medusa, it takes a long time for the show list to appear. Sometimes the show list doesn't appear at all.

To Reproduce

1. Use a Medusa instance with a decently-large library
2. Open the Network tab of DevTools. Filter to XHR requests.
3. Load the Medusa homepage.

Expected behavior
Homepage should load quickly & consistently. I'd be surprised if it took more than 1-2 seconds to load.

My 2 cents
I have run Medusa for years.
Having run into many issues all related to database size..
Mainly DB queries taking too long to complete. And that backs up the queues.
So I split my database and that fixed those issues.

Splitting the database,
I'm referring to making a second instance of Medusa on the same machine.
I'm running seven currently, The only issue this causes is if I start them all at the same time, they fight each other for CPU and nothing gets done, so I stagger them by a minute.
Medusa does NOT have a provision setup for multiple instances to run on the same machine unlike other DB managers. So identifying the instance of Medusa that has focus can get tricky. I tried a number of things but updates would revert things back. If someone has a working remedy for this I'm all ears.

I tested Medusa on a large database and ran to the same issue as you.
It has to query database everytime you refresh the page using the refresh button. It only does 1000 entry per query, so if you have say 1001, it has to do 2 query. Once it loads all the entry is cached it does not need to read the database, but if you refresh, or open a new tab, it will have to query the database.
I investigated the problem, and it looks like it is the use of vue.js for the homepage.

I've been using sickchill for many years now and really want to switch to Medusa, but the slow homepage loading really annoyed me to not use it.
