The deployment is currently only a black box. How does it work?

As mentioned in the README, deployment is described in app.py.

If you want to automate it I can give you access; just send me your SSH public key.
Code updates aren't too frequent, so automating cd app; git pull; supervisorctl restart app isn't much of a priority for me.
