Feature description
THANK YOU FOR QGIS!
In QGIS version 3.40.5, when I export from Print Composer to a pdf there appears to be no option to set the initial view of each layer (visible or not visible) when a user of the pdf opens it in pdf viewer software with layer capabilities.
The feature request is to make it possible when exporting a pdf with layers from Print Composer to set each layer to be visible or not visible when the pdf is initially opened by users.
Additional context
I am thankful there is the ability to not include layers that are in the project by unchecking them during the pdf export process.
But, apparently, layers that are included as layers in the pdf are all set to be visible by default and I don't see a way to change them to be not visible when the pdf is initially opened.
Some of the layers in my project are highly obstructive of the rest of the map, but may be valuable to some of those who use the pdf if they want to make them visible.
I would like to set those obstructive layers to not be visible initially for those viewing the pdf.
I tried using other software to change the initial visibility of the layers (not Adobe Acrobat), but, that appeared to corrupt them so the layers cannot be made visible at all in at least some other pdf viewer software (the visibility of the obstructive layers cannot be made visible in PDFXchange Viewer after the other software was used to make the obstructive layers not visible on initial view (can be made visible (works) with Adobe Reader however, but I have no control over what pdf software will be used to open the pdf map).
Best would be when exporting a pdf with layers from Print Composer to make it possible to set each layer to be visible or not visible when the pdf is initially opened by users.
