quickemu VS libvirt

Is this project works in parallel with libvirt? or it uses libvirt under the hood?
Sorry but could not find any documentation about it so I have to ask here.

libvirt also has virsh and other cli interfaces, which is nice , but still i don't get the differences that much. libvirt makes making network setups for vm easier (I don't know how to set up and manage networks manually for VMs) and also keeps the setup to launch the VM if a nice XML file.

I am trying to use qemu more, but having hard time , overall there are a lot of installs that I make that don't boot after install. Can't find any good tutorial for it. It is a super useful tool to have. I am thinking to use it with nix/guix to make whole setup fully declarative. (sorry a bit of topic)
