I often use the voice plugin over my reveal.js presentations and then make a video recording of the entire thing and then add the captions to the video.

There are two problems with that.

  1. The captions overlay does not know about positioning of reveal.js and audio player.
  2. I don't have the captions feature when playing reveal.js (not the video of reveal.js)

So, the right place to add the captions feature is to add it to the voice plugin.

There are well defined standards for addition of closed captions with timing tags that the voice plugin can drive.

Is this a feature that others value as well?
