Workrave preferences discarded at end of day

I work cloud based for a governmental organisation, through Citrix Workspace app. The virtual OS is Windows 10 and Workrave is installed. The problem is, that when I personalise the preferences, the edits are lost the next day at login.
Does Workrave provide preferences retain? If so, where should I start looking?
I just did an extensive search on the Open Issues here, but could not find anything related.

On Windows, near as I can tell, preferences are stored in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Workrave
