On a fresh focal installation.
use snap install redis
version 7.0.0 is installed
a configuration file exists in /var/snap/redis/common/etc/redis/redis.conf
But the redis log file mention that the server is started without configuration file.
If the configuration file exists why not using it?
A related drawback is that no changes can be made permanently
