Timeout requests on proxy errors?

On a number of occasions I have had problems with my accumulo server. Pyaccumulo calls outstanding to the proxy at the time seem to hang forever. I didn't dig into this too much at the time as it was more expedient to just fix my accumulo server and restart the process.

Before I spent time digging into this more and trying to construct a concrete replicable version of this problem I thought I would inquire to see anyone else had simpler problems ever or could point me in the right direction.
