Not working with PHP files with VSC

I was testing this extension, but when I try to open a php file my browser download it.

right.. same problem i am facing.

In Virtual Studio Code you need also "PHP Server" extension (running in localhost:3000 and pointing to the php.exe) and "Live Server" running in localhost:5500. After that just click on "Go Live" and then do right click in any part of the code -> PHP Server : Serve project . Thanks to this extension the changes in the php file are shown in the browser.

i am having the same problem too but mine live reload on live server extension on chrome
